EC grade Aluminium Wire Rod is available in sizes 7.60mm, 9.50mm, or 12.00mm diameter, having Electrical conductivity of minimum 61% IACS, tensile Strength between 8.50 to 13.60 Kg/Sq mm and elongation of 4% to 8%. It is used to manufacture All Aluminium Conductors, Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced, LT & HT cables and Transformer Wires & Strips. At present, aluminium conductors are used in up to transmission lines.
Aluminium Alloy (Al -Si -Mg) wire rod is available in 6101 & 6201 Grade and Mechanical Alloy wire rod in 6061 & 6063 grade. It is available in sizes 7.50 mm, 9.50 mm, or 12.00 mm diameter with online solution treated in T4 and T6 temper. It has a minimum 51.00 % IACS conductivity, Tensile Strength of about 14 kg/Sqmm, and minimum elongation of 12%. High conductivity Alloy conductor Al -59 & Al -57 are also manufactured from 6000 series Alloy wire rod. Alloy wire Rod is normally used in various specifications of all-aluminium alloy conductors and AB Cable(as messenger). AAAC Conductors are extensively used for Power Transmission in seacoast areas because of their non-corrosive quality. The Alloy conductors have also replaced ACSR conductors for their anti-theft property.
Flip Wire Rods are commercial-grade aluminum wire rods available in diameters of 9.50 mm, 12 mm, and 13 mm. Manufactured with 99.20% aluminum purity, these rods boast a tensile strength of 13.50 kg/mm², electrical conductivity of 55% IACS, and elongation of 12%. These characteristics make them highly reliable and versatile for industrial applications. The rods are typically supplied in vertical or horizontal coil forms, with weights ranging from 1,200 kg to 2,000 kg per coil. Each coil is precision-engineered with an inner diameter of 600 mm and an outer diameter of 1,300 mm. For durability and safety, the coils are securely packed in steel cages and mounted on mild steel pallets, with six steel straps to prevent outer layer collapse during transportation and handling. Additionally, copper tubes are crimped on both ends of the coil to facilitate seamless joining, ensuring uninterrupted feeding in wire-feeding machines at steel plants.
